Salitar Soap contains Coal Tar Oil 1% and Willow Bark Extract (as Salicylic Acid 3%), formulated to manage hyperkeratotic and inflammatory skin conditions such as seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis, dandruff, and pityriasis versicolor.

Coal Tar works by slowing down excessive skin cell proliferation and reducing inflammation. In conditions like psoriasis and seborrheic dermatitis, rapid skin turnover leads to thick plaques, scaling, and redness. Coal tar helps normalize keratinocyte activity, thereby reducing scaling, flaking, and plaque formation. It also provides antipruritic effects, helping relieve persistent itching.

Salicylic Acid (3%), derived from willow bark extract, acts as a keratolytic agent. It softens and loosens the outer layer of dead skin cells, promoting exfoliation and clearing scales from the scalp and skin. This enhances penetration of active ingredients and improves overall skin texture. Its mild antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties support management of dandruff and pityriasis versicolor.
